Originally studying Stage Management at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School Layla began a degree in Theatre Lighting Design at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2016 where she developed her practice and worked on public productions, graduating in June 2018.
Layla has worked on Multiple productions during her studies, as Lighting Designer, Assistant Lighting Designer, Programmer, Chief Electrician and LX Crew. Her focus is Lighting Design, with particular interest in new writing.
Layla is part of the Theatre company Hail To The People, a newly formed collective of theatre-makers creating and developing work with a focus on new writing and devising.
Outside of her studies Layla has worked on various productions at various venues.
